Tri-C JazzFest has announced its the lineup for its 2022 festival, returning to Playhouse Square June 23-25. It will feature 9 ticketed shows in the theaters, including headliners such as Eddie Palmieri, Brian Culbertson, Ghost-Note and Joe Lovano, along with free outside activities including an outdoor stage. Hans von Spakovsky, a fellow at the rightwing Heritage Foundation, specializes in spreading lies about the ubiquity of voter fraud & its threat to the integrity of U.S. elections. Despite the near-nonexistence of such fraud, von Spakovsky has parlayed his claims into a career advocating for onerous voter suppression measures that prevent many eligible Americans from voting.This week, the Akron Roundtable, which says it brings “bold, creative and new ideas to the region,” gives von Spakovsky a forum to present his stale, debunked, anti-democratic, racist ideas unchallenged.
