President Biden’s appointment of 37-year-old Sonia Aggarwal last year as the Senior Advisor for Climate Policy and Innovation at the White House, earned praise from environmental organizations. Before mobbing to D.C. to join the administration, she lived in the San Francisco Bay area where she co-founded the nonpartisan energy/environmental policy firm Energy Innovation. She became well known for her knowledgeability on energy policy, and its economic and public health impacts.
She’s also Cleveland-raised, attending Hawken and Lauren schools before leaving Ohio to go to college. She’ll be back home to speak at the City Club to share her ideas on addressing climate change.
If you can’t make it down, the forum will also be livestreamed at the City Club website. If you have questions, you can tweet them to @TheCityClub or text 330-541-5794.
