Trinity Cathedral is presenting its benefit concert with harpist Parker Ramsay as a “Bach Birthday Concert,” celebrating the day the great composer was born in 1685 (depending on which calendar you’re using!)

The Tennessee native, now based in New York, earned his undergraduate organ degree from Cambridge before studying historical instruments at Oberlin Conservatory.  He also studied modern harp at the Juilliard School. Currently, he’s co-director of period instrument ensemble A Golden Wire.

“Parker Ramsay has achieved wide acclaim for his recent recording of Bach’s Goldberg Variations in the iconic chapel of King’s College, Cambridge, England,” says Todd Wilson, creative director of Music & Art at Trinity Cathedral. “We are honored and delighted to have Mr. Ramsay share this musical masterpiece with us on Bach’s birthday here at Trinity Cathedral.”

Tickets are $50, $20 for students with valid current ID; ticketholders may attend in person or listen via livestream. The program benefits the Music & art at Trinity program. Reserve tickets @ music@trinitycleveland.org.
