At age 92 her death came as no surprise, but Cleveland theater people were hoping Dorothy Silver was immortal. Beginning her acting career in 1949, she and her husband Reuben, who died in 2014 at age 88, dominated area stages.After Reuben’s passing, Dorothy continued to act regularly up until last year. The August 3 Democratic primary in Ohio’s 11th congressional district to replace Marcia Fudge, who was appointed to President Biden’s cabinet, is attracting lots of heat in the district as well as national attention, focused on two candidates: Shontel Brown and Nina Turner.
