Thu 7/22 @ 4-5PM
If keeping a watchful eye on the state of our river is your thing, you might want to head over to Forest City Brewery in Ohio City on Thursday July 22 for a public celebration of the removal of “eutrophication impairment” (algae bloom) from the river as well as the 225th anniversary of the founding of the City of Cleveland.
Hosts Cuyahoga River Area of Concern (AOC) Advisory Committee and the Sustainable Cleveland Forest City Working Group will talk about the progress made in restoring the river as well as the importance of a health tree canopy. And you can order yourself a locally crafted beer to drink while you’re listening.
Afterwards, you’re invited to walk a block down Columbus Road for a short walking tour of the newly opened Redline Greenway trail — or plan to spend the rest of the evening walking the entire trail on your own.
The event is free and open at all. No registration is required. Go here for more info about the work being done to restore the river.
