GroundWorks DanceTheater returns to the live stage with their annual (except not last year) performance at Cain Park’s Evans Amphitheatre. There they’ll do a two-night stand with a program that features brand new, somewhat new and newly staged works.
The brand new work is Adam Barruch’s Axis, created for film and reconfigured for live stage performance. They’ll also do a newly staged version of Cleveland native Antonio Brown’s INSIDE, which was part of their drive-in film screenings last year. They’ll round out the program with Sud Buster’s Dream, choreographed by GroundWorks’ founding executive artistic director David Shimtakahara, which they first performed in 2019.
