Come on out on a summer evening and hang out at one of downtown’s loveliest hidden spaces, the inner courtyard at Worthington Yards, and do so while immersing yourself in the filmic creativity of local artists at CINE-EX, featuring animated and experimental shorts.
The evening was curated by three noted stars of the local experimental film scene: Cynthia Penter, Rian Brown Orso and Robert Banks. Filmmakers whose works will be shown include Andrew Patron, Ignacio Gonzalez, UnirealiTV, Jerry Mann, Kalim Hill, Jacob Koestler, Robin Latkovich, Rian Li, Christina Anderson, Sara Diamond, Jules Greene, Rafeek Roberts, Mary Hughes, Abigail Stevenson, Bruce Checefsky, Abby Lee, Michelle Chu, Lillian Tyack, Sofia Smith Hale, Meng-Hsuan Wu and Sanjib Bhattachary.
There will also by dance performances by Hope Schultz. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and a cooler with whatever you’d like to drink.
Doors open at 7pm; films start at dusk, around 9pm. In the meantime, you can check out the current Fresh AIR exhibit in the Worthington Yards lobby or just relax and enjoy the fresh air outside. It’s free.
