Nine drag artists lit up the stage — and the audience — at the annual Cleveland Drag Pride Showcase at the Beachland Ballroom. Dr. Lady J, Sassy Sascha, Manny Nuff, Imani Evans Diamond, Debbie Does Drag, Jayce Blaze, Agata Why, Monica Lexin and Veranda L’Ni performed two acts apiece, showing off extravagant wigs, intricate makeup and costumes ranging from huge and elaborate to sleek and form-fitting. They worked the crowd to music by Prince, Gloria Gaynor, AC/DC and even Radiohead. Most of them spent significant time in the house, sashaying down the aisle and accepting gratuities from the appreciative audience.
