Learn to Make Healthy “Skinny Pasta” with Author @ Mac’s Backs on Coventry

Sat 8/3 @1-2PM

Perhaps you don’t think of pasta as being diet-friendly for weight watchers, but the “skinny pasta” movement says that’s not so.

London-based personal chef and food stylist Julie Azzarello has written a book called Skinny Pasta, which shares recipes that are relatively un-fattening (as long as you don’t serve the kinds of portions your Italian grandmother encouraged!), and filled with healthy, nutritious ingredients. She includes instructions for making your own dough, pesto and marinara sauce. Many of her recipes are vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and dairy-free, and all 80 contain less than 500 calories — as long as your grandmother isn’t serving.

Azzarello will be at Mac’s Backs in Coventry Village for a meet-and-greet and book signing. It’s free and open to all.
