Or, like others, you can’t wait to imagine new possibilities with the upcoming show, Imagining Otherwise, at moCa or a satellite location in Glenville or Lakewood.With the pandemic subsiding, it’s possible you are holding your breath for yet another installment of the 48 Hour Virtual Music Fest, once again the last Saturday of the month. Or for the exciting new exhibition on the firebrand icon Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Notorious RBG, opening at the Maltz. Or possibly you’re anxious to start Building the 21st Century City, an online symposium about rethinking Cleveland’s future to “maximize its future prosperity with an emphasis on inclusivity.”
CoolCleveland correspondent Jordan Davis catches up with Ray McNiece, the reigning poet laureate of Cleveland Heights as he reflects on his travels, current projects and passing the torch to future poets of all ages.McNiece stands out as a poet, performer, educator, speaker, actor, musician, singer, writer and workshop leader. moCa Cleveland is into trying new things. Its new show, Imagining Otherwise, invited four artists — two from Cleveland, one from New York and one from Pittsburgh — to explore different aspects of what it means to be Black.
