Photo Cleveland is hosting another group show, this one opening at the Unhinged Lounge, 4260 Pearl Road, on Saturday August 1 with a reception from 6-11pm. And they’re looking for submissions through July 18 at midnight.
The show is called Intentional Unconventional: Experimental Photography and Video Exhibition. Let’s let them explain what they’re looking for.
“Photo Cleveland invites you to submit your photography or videos for an avant-garde multimedia exhibition that breaks away from conventional imagery and storytelling, focusing on experimentation within the medium(s). This show challenges mainstream imagery, in favor of abstract concepts, non-linear structures, and unconventional techniques.
We will only be accepting images that are non-traditional in their approach, as well as ones where the creator “experimented” and thought outside of the box with their work. When we say non-traditional, we don’t speak in terms of subject matter, but rather in terms of the way the image was created. We want to see work where the artist pushed beyond traditional methods.”
