Once again, the Akron Pride Festival (taking place August 22) is hosting its annual Drag Battle at the Akron Civic Theatre. And once again Brionna Brooks and Monica Masters will host this fun and raucous evening to crown the 2026 Akron Pride Festival Drag Act of the Year.
Twelve contestants will compete for the crown and the $800 prize.
In addition to performances by the contestants, the event will feature last year’s winner Destiny De’vil, other former winners AJ Quin West, Kardi Redd Diamond, Alejandra J-Love, Cherry Veneer, Jeremiah, Natasshja Norielle, Veronika Katrell and Poppy Lugo, and special guest, Colorado drag artist Yvie Oddly winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race eleventh season in 2019 and a competitor in RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars in 2022.
