It’s easyto do the same thing over and over. It takes real courage to go out on a limb and stay there. Like what Les Delices is doing with their ambitious mixed-media concert The White Cat. Or like the Ground Work program from the Western Reserve Land Conservancy that is restoring some of the 30K+ vacant lots in Cleveland’s inner city. Or how Lori Kella’s edgy new photos address the climate crisis head on. Or the Happy Dog’s timely discussion on the SCOTUS hearings now taking place in the US Senate. Speaking of the Supreme Court, the outrageous effort of right-wing activist Ginni Thomas to overturn the 2020 election really takes a lot of guts, considering she is married to a Supreme Court Justice who has been and will be ruling on the same issues. CoolCleveland commentator and columnist C. Ellen Connally, a former judge herself, reveals her “dislike and abhorrence” for Clarence Thomas after forcing herself to read his autobio and a shelf full of books on the judge, whom many are calling on to recuse himself or resign in light of his obvious conflict of interest. Have some guts and do the right thing.

TUE 4/5 Chamber Merger Two local chamber music presenters found there was less overlap in their audiences than expected, so they’re trying to change that with a joint concert tonight at the Maltz PAC.
My dislike and abhorrence for Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas has caused me—an inveterate book buyer and student of American history—to read and fill part of a shelf in my library with books about him.
I managed to hold my nose with a barf bag at hand while I read Thomas’ syrupy and self-serving autobiography. My Grandfather’sSon, where he tells his rags-to-riches story of going from poverty in Pin Point, Georgia to the Supreme Court of the United States.
As I recall, I skipped the last few pages—it was just too unctuous…
