Cleveland Metroparks Zoo isn’t the only zoo in the area celebrating October with a “Boo at the Zoo” event. But unlike the Cleveland Zoo’s afterhours trick-or-treat event, the Akron Zoo is offering full days of special activities on Saturday and Sunday for three October weekend. Yes, the kids (and adults) are encouraged to wear their costumes (adults cannot wear full face masks, mascot heads and face paint however). And yes, there will be treats dispensed. In various themed areas, visitors will find special activities and seasonal snacks and beverages. There’ll also be characters to me and familiar “monsters” doing a spooky dance performance.
There are both trick-and-treater ticket prices, a discount ticket for those with no sweet tooth, and special items for those with food allergies. In addition, they’ll be open an hour early for people with issues with crowds and loud noises. Go HERE for tickets.
