
Open from Memorial Day through September, Put-in-Bay’s The Goat Soup & Whiskey promotes itself as “where fine dining meets flip flops.” No one dresses up on Put-in-Bay, but if you want your food a little dressier than bar food, this restaurant provides dishes made from fresh ingredients, along with craft beers, cocktails and wine. It’s got the obligatory seafood dishes (perch, walleye, scallops) but also chicken, steaks, pork chops, pasta, pierogis, soups and salads— and frog legs. On Put-in-Bay? Yes! Eat indoors or outdoors in the biergarten.
