Democratic activities gathered at North Collinwood’s Lasalle Theater for a 2026 campaign kickoff event hosted by Oh-11 Congresswoman Shontel Brown. The event featured appearance by most of the Democrats candidates running statewide including gubernatorial candidate Dr. Amy Acton, Senate candidate Sherrod Brown, attorney general candidate John Kulewicz, auditor candidate Annette Blackwell and both primary Democratic candidates for Secretary of State, Bryan Hambley and Allison Russo, as well as Mobilize the Vote NEO’s Sue Dean, Cindy Demsey from the Cuyahoga Democratic Women’s Caucus, Cuyahoga County Democratic Chairman David Brock, and several pastors. A rousing version of the Star Spangled Banner by the Warrensville High School band got things off with a burst of energy. And there was plenty of swag, from yard signs to buttons to T-shirts to candy.
