Insects of all types play an important role in our ecosystem, as you’ll learn at the Bug Bonanza, a day for fun AND education, taking place at West Creek Reservation Watershed Stewardship Center Saturday July 26.
Visitors can admire the beauty of butterflies in the butterfly tent, interact with insects of various types at live bug demonstrations, play some bug-themed games and try some “ buggy” snacks (in some cultures, crickets, ants and grasshoppers are considered delicacies — but no, you don’t HAVE to). Since this is a family-friendly event, of COURSE there’s face painting.
The event is free and open to all. Go here for more information.
