It’s the last stand — for the summer — for the Summit Metro Parks Band, an ensemble of volunteer musicians who play pop songs, Broadway tunes and other standards, now celebrating their 25th season. Throughout the summer, they play Tuesday night concerts at various Summit Metro Park outdoor locations, inviting listeners of all ages to enjoy free music in the fresh air.
Their season finale concert will be held at Cascade Valley Metro Park’s Himelright Lodge. This is an indoor concert although the doors to the patio will be opened to let in the breezes and you can bring a chair or blanket to sit outside if you like.
