The Cleveland Chamber Music Society opens its 2026-27 season at the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Gartner Auditorium with a performance by a trio of world-class musicians: violinist Joel Link, horn player Nathaniel Silberschlag and pianist Dawoon Chung.
The former two will be familiar to Cleveland Orchestra patrons, as both play prominent roles onstage at Severance Hall. Link is the orchestra’s concertmaster since 2025 (as well as a member of the Dover Quartet) and Silberschlag is its principal horn player, joining in 2019. Chung is no slouch either. She has a doctorate from the University of Southern California and has built an international career as a soloist and orchestra collaborator, and her Project: Music Heals Us offers interactive classical music performances for challenged populations.
Ther program includes Gabriel Fauré’s Sonata for Piano and Violin in A Major, op. 13; Reinhold Glière’s Four Romances for Horn and Piano, op. 35, nos. 6, 7, 10 and 11; and Johannes Brahms’ Trio for Piano, Violin and Horn in E-flat Major, op. 40.
