Centrum Kolossio, a large immersive public art installation, goes on view Canal Basin Park on the East Bank of the Flats on Friday August 28, and will be there for public viewing through mid September. It’s the first time the work is being installed for public viewing in Cleveland.
The work was previously presented at Love Burn 2026 arts festival in Miami in February, following a six-month process of designing and creating the immense work with more than 500,000 inches of laser-cut paneling and a dedicated space for public programs and performances of all types. Centrum Kolossio was designed and engineered by Cleveland-based David Biro with input from his artist collective Midnight Art Club. The installation is free and open to the public.
The exhibition will offer opportunities for community engagement and programming that reflect Midnight Art Club’s multidisciplinary approach.
