We really miss all those colorful, fun ethnic church festivals this year. Luckily many of them are giving us a tasty consolation prize. The parishioners are still cooking up a storm, and offering their food for drive-by pickup.
The Shrine Church of St. Stanislaus, usually one of the last festivals on the calendar, is doing this as well. They’ll have favorite Polish specialties — haluski, pierogi, kielbasa, czarnina, and more — available for you to pre-order online and pick up either on Saturday October 3 from 3-7pm or Sunday October 4 from 11am-4pm. They’re also making the virtual festival a little more festival on Friday night from 6-10pm when they’ll post an on-demand streaming show with the polka band REWIND, dancers from the Cleveland Polka Association and a performer by accordion virtuoso Alex Meixner. There’s also a grand raffle with a first place prize of $1,500, announced at 6pm Sunday. Buy your tickets here.
