Make a Creative Connection @ Dru Christine Fabrics and Design

Wed 8/7 @ 5-8PM

One of Cleveland’s really creative people is designer Dru Thompson, who runs Dru Christine Fabrics and Design in the Superior Arts District’s Lake Affect Studios. Not only does she create designs and sell fashion and accessories from her shop there, she also teaches design at the Cleveland School of the Arts, holds regular public classes at her space, and writes about fashion for CoolCleveland.com.

She’s also passionate about sharing what she knows and does with other upcoming entrepreneurs. That’s the idea behind her Creative Connections evenings.

“Incredible things happen when creative people meet,” she says. “Creative Connections is a bimonthly gathering designed for the creative entrepreneur (or aspiring) to have meaningful conversations, become inspired and support other local creatives. Creative Connections is an event where a muralist can meet a jewelry designer and become inspired. A fashion designer can learn new insights from a photographer and a graffiti artist can connect with a poet.”

This month the featured entrepreneur is Love Star Galaxy @lovestargalaxy who will have items available for purchase. The event is free and open to all but registration is required. Go here.

Future dates are 8/21, 9/4 and 9/18.
