Every other year, Heights Arts puts the spotlight on young artists who recently graduated from northeast Ohio colleges and universities with its Emergent show, to focus attention on the strong art education available in the region and showcase some artists you might be hearing more about in the future.
Heights Arts’ gallery committee chose 11 artists in diverse media who attended such schools as Cleveland Institute of Art, Kent State University, the University of Akron, and Baldwin Wallace University. The chosen artists are Emily Brannan, Davon Brantley, Kimberly Chapman, Kylie Demkowicz, Sydney Givens, Alyson Hollobaugh, Danielle Muzina, Alex Overbeck, Noelle Richard, Jeni Stovicek and Yskandar.
The show opens with a public reception Fri 4/26 @ 6-9pm and will remain on view through Sun 6/9.
