Wed 9/2 @ noon-1PM
The Bromeliad Ensemble, whose members hail from around the Midwest, presents its first official concert, taking place at Trinity Cathedral across from the Cleveland State University campus. It’s another first as well: Trinity’s first concert of the fall season kicking off its free Brownbag Concert series, now in its 49th year.
The program the ensemble will play is called Sound and Fury: Music for Shakespeare’s Plays. It’s comprised of music associated or contemporary with Shakespeare’s plays. Featuring voice, violin, cornetti, lutes and recorders, the group will play historically informed renditions on pieces mentioned in the Bard’s plays, works from the same era as his plays, and later pieces that refer back to them.
The concert is free and open to all. Bring your lunch!
