The NewNow is Artists Archives of the Western Reserve’s annual juried show to take the temperature of the regional visual art scene.
Its 2026 edition of the show, which opens at the Tri-C East Gallery on Thursday September 3 with a free, public reception, features 75 pieces by 65 area artists, some well-known, others new names to us. And from the titles of the pieces, it sounds like this edition will be have a confrontational edge, with a strong current of social/political critique. It was juried by hesd of the painting and drawing department at the Art Academy of Cincinnati Jimmy Baker.
The show will be on view through October 22.
