“The Pride” at Convergence-Continuum Tells the Story of Same-Sex Relationships 50 Years Apart

Fri 3/29-Sat 4/20 @ 8PM

British playwright Alexi Kaye Campbell’s play The Pride, which premiered in 2008, demonstrates how times and the social climate have altered how people address their own sexual needs and desires. Using three characters with the same names (but not the same people) played by the same actors in 1958 and 2008, the characters in the former deal with the high cost of same-sex attraction while in the latter two men in a relationship struggle with one’s addiction to anonymous sex.

Jonathan Wilhelm directs the Ohio premiere of the play at Tremont’s convergence-continuum theater.
It opens Fri 3/29 and runs Thursday-Saturday @ 8pm through 4/20. Tickets are $20, $15 for senior and $10 for students.
