The Belgium-based Vox Luminis vocal ensemble was formed in 2004 by artistic director Lionel Meunier to perform early music from the 16th-18th centuries. Since then it’s performed all over the world and become known as one of the outstanding groups in its area.
Clevelanders have the opportunity to enjoy these stellar voices when they come to the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist downtown for a free concert. They’ll perform a program called “I Know that my Redeemer Lives,” featuring works from the English Renaissance including pieces Thomas Tallis, Henry Purcell, William Byrd, William White and Thomas Morley.
