Marcus Alan Ward began performing as Freeze-Tag nearly five years ago, attracting attention for his creative mingling of electronica, jazz, hip hop and R&B. He started to get some national buzz going with his debut EP WILDFLWR_HNY in early 2012 and his subsequent EP Eskimo in the spring of 2013.
Since then, he’s emerged from behind the stage name to collect the accolades as himself while he works on crafting his debut album from the melodic blend of electronically created sounds he calls “prisma-chromatic.” He’s spending January on his “Capricorn” tour, which is taking him to places like Chicago, Detroit, Brooklyn, Baltimore, Philadelphia and more. It includes a show at Mahall’s in Lakewood where he’ll be joined by Columbus synth duo Damn the Witch Siren and Athens, Ohio’s Rollergirl.
