One indication that Nawlins City Express might be a success is that owner/chef Jaison Boyd worked in other restaurants for 15 years before opening in the spring of 2017. That’s when he began serving his Louisiana-style lunches Thursday-Saturday in the Lucy’s Sweet Surrender space, bringing a taste of the Big Easy to Cleveland with gumbo, po’boys and his signature beignets. He’s also put his specialties on wheels with his food truck of the same name.
