Cool Cleveland Endorsement: YES on Issue 1
First of all, can we lay off the Constitutional Amendments every time we want a change in our laws? The Ohio legislature started debating this in the legislature, and they should have finished the work there.
The passage of Issue 1 would raise the age of those elected to judicial office from 70 to 76. While we don’t know why this is even on the ballot, there doesn’t seem to be many reasons to vote NO. Old guys already run the world. This would allow them to be even older. Vote YES on Issue 1.

I emphatically disagree. If “old guys already run the world” then why must we make it easier for even older guys to continue running the world? They can step aside at 70 and come back as visiting judges if they just can’t quite quit sending people to prison. But we do not need to extend their allotted tenure any further.
