Sat 9/18 @ 8AM – 3PM
Cheer on over 1000 rowers from NEO and the Midwest racing in the Head of the Cuyahoga Regatta on Sat 9/18. Take the RTA Rapid to Tower City and walk to Spectators Village to watch the action unfold. Dem and Dim Sum will be there to fill you up as you watch rowers navigate the twists and curves of the Cuyahoga. Sponsored by the Cleveland Rowing Foundation.
A little about rowing:
A “head race” is a race against the clock where times are compared in each event for gold, silver and bronze. With the race course and Cuyahoga River hosting more curves than any other Head Race in the country, crews are constantly challenged to maintain the best course for a competitive race time. Cheer on crews as they attempt to overtake the boat in front of them or manage those difficult turns on our notoriously winding river! Boats range from eights (8 rowers and a coxswain) to fours, quads, doubles, pairs and singles and they will compete in various age and experience categories in over 40 events!
