Lakewood Project Concert & Fireworks

The Lakewood Project, the classical music rock orchestra based at Lakewood High School, will headline their annual 4th of July concert at Lakewood Park on Sun 7/4, starting at 7PM. A massive fireworks display will follow at dusk. Lakewood Park is located at 14532 Lake Avenue in Lakewood, Ohio.

The Lakewood Project consists of a complete string orchestra, a full rock band, plus a complement of electric Viper violins and cellos. Their repertoire consists of classical music rearranged for rock band, as well as classic rock numbers fleshed out with full orchestral backing.

The world’s first high school rock orchestra, The Lakewood Project has worked with artists such as Doug Wood of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Julie Lyonn Liebermann, Neil Zaza, and bands such as Wish You Were Here (Pink Floyd) and A Hard Day’s Night (The Beatles).

As the final concert for departing seniors and the inaugural concert for incoming freshmen, the July 4th Lakewood Project concert is always an emotional event. And since the annual Lakewood fireworks display has become one of the largest in the region, the event draws up to 20,000 people or more. Don’t miss it!
