Wed 9/30 @ 7PM (doors at 5pm)
The Wednesday September 30 edition of the Music Box Supper Club’s Cleeland Stories series is not about a topic, as it usually is, but about a personality, a local personality most will recognize from his copious billboards: personal injury lawyer Tim Misny.
Now, personal injury lawyers blanket the landscape with billboards, but typically there’s just a guy in a suit urging you to call him if you’re in an accident. Misny’s billboards aren’t just more numerous, they’re next-level creative. They started moderately enough with the iconic image of him with his one lowered eyebrow and his slogan “I’ll make them pay,” but have since proliferated into seasonal billboards and numerous special themes, including his current play on Uncle Sam with the demand “I want you to vote!” he’s not just another personal injury lawyer, he’s a celebrity and a public figure.
Now he’s the subject of a book that tells the story behind his public media blitz, called The Misny Method. It was written by Cleveland entrepreneur Jim Kukral who interviewed a dozen people closely connected to Misny and analyzed 45 years of advertising data to explore what makes someone memorable.
Hear from the man himself while enjoying drinks and dinner if you choose. Doors open at 5pm; program starts at 7. It’s free and open to all. Make reservations HERE.
