Cleveland ensemble Dancing Wheels, which broke new ground 45 years ago when it pioneered choreography and performances that blended wheelchair and “standup” dancers, is again hosting its gala benefit performance at Playhouse Square’s Mimi Ohio Theatre.

Its theme this year is “Ladies of the ‘80s!” It will feature dancers from its ensemble and its School of Dancing Wheels in choreography by Dianne McIntyre, Annette Ellis and Angelina DiFranco, set to music by well-known female artists from the ’80s.
