Cleveland Pops Orchestra and Guests Pay Tribute to Steven Spielberg and John Williams

When the Cleveland Pops Orchestra returns to Severance Music Center for its next concert of the season, it will feature two special guests form different corners of Cleveland’s music work. Bass clarinetist Amy Zoloto is a member of the Cleveland Orchestra and former member of the New York Philharmonic, with a background as a chamber musician and educator. Saxophonist/composer Howie Smith is a professor emeritus of jazz studies at Cleveland State University where he taught from 1979-2005; he still actively performs throughout the area.

They’ll join CJO and the Cleveland Pops Chorus for an evening of music paying tribute to the director/composer team of Steven Spielberg and John Williams, whose collaborations included iconic scores for blockbusters such as Jaws, E.T.,Jurassic Park, Saving Private Ryan, the Indiana Jones films, and many others.
