Akron’s Lock 3 Park in the heart of downtown has had a packed music schedule on several stages this summer — and there’s more to come. Its Wednesday evening blues & jazz series on its more intimate Lock 4 stage has drawn on some of the region’s own expansive community of talented artists.
This week, as the series draw to a close, you can check out Cleveland vocalist/songwriter Esther Fitz, who moves smoothly between soul, pop, jazz and R&B in her heartfelt vocals and deeply personal songs, which she’s shared on three EPs and several singles. She’s performed at venues and festivals all over the region including the Rock Hall and Ingenuity festival. A chance to hear her perform live, for free, is better than sitting at home on a summer evening — by far.
