Christmas Bazaars are well-established events on the calendar, their numbers increasing yearly. But in recent years, there’s been a proliferation of another type of bazaar: Valentine Bazaars which remind you that you better get something for that significant other.

The Cleveland Bazaar, which has been hosting its big Christmas market for a couple of decades and summer outdoor events at Market Square Park across from the West Side Market, has been holding a Valentine Market at Lake Affect Studios in the Superior Arts District for quite a few years. You’ll find dozens of high-quality vendors in the sprawling second floor event space, which also has a bar for taking a break and grabbing a drink; there are also food trucks out front. And chances are some of the artists in the building will be open and there may even be additional vendors in the hall downstairs. It’s free and runs from 10am-6pm Saturday February 7, so there’s plenty of time to browse.

This year the Screw Factory in Lakewood is also hosting a Valentine’s Day Art Market. The second and third floors of this industrial building are packed with arts, craftspeople and small entrepreneurs, many of whom will have their doors open for two days so you can browse and buy something handcrafted for your honey. There’ll also be guest artists in the building. The market will be open Friday February 6 @ 6-10pm and Saturday February 7 @ 10am-6pm. Admission and parking are free.

Finally, if you want to take a drive out into the country, Rare Bird Curios Vintage will be at Reithoffer’s in Chagrin Falls with a market featuring both locally made and vintage items, including jewelry, home décor, barware, ceramics, soaps, baked goods and even all-natural pet treats. There’ll also be a food truck and live music both days: Friday February 6 @ 5-10pm and Saturday February 7 @ noon-9pm. Admission is free.
