Through April 24
7/9-11/22
No, it’s not a return of the May Show — the Cleveland Museum of Art’s long-running show devoted to regional art which ran from 1919 to 1993 — but it is an opportunity to take the temperature of art being created in the area and showcase it in a high-profile show, presented by CMA.
The recently announced juried show is called Lake Effect: Artists from Cleveland Now, billed as a celebration of the museum’s 110th anniversary. It’s scheduled to be on view at the Transformer Station in Ohio City from July 9-November 22, 2026. It’s open to artists in all media from a seven-county area: Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Lorain, Medina, Portage and Summit. Submission deadline is April 24, and there’s no cost to submit. The work will be juried by CMA staff.
