Since 2003, journalist David Grann has been a staff writer at The New Yorker magazine where he has published many pieces of long-form investigative journalism that explore in depth the sorts of complex and intriguing situations that don’t mesh with the “breaking!” mentality of the mainstream media.
He’s turned some of them into full-length books including his 2009 debut The Lost City of Z: A Tale of Deadly Obsession in the Amazon and Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI, published last year.
Grann will be speaking at the Maltz Performing Arts Center in University Circle as part of the speaker series co-sponsored by the Cuyahoga County Public Library. Tickets are $30.
