If you are a fan of beer and poetry, head on down to the Market Garden Brewery where the folks who program the Brews and Prose series will take a break from prose to offer up a couple of poets.
Amit Majmudar (pictured below), who is also a diagnostic nuclear radiologist in the Columbus area and a novelist, is Ohio’s first poet laureate. He’s got a new collection of poetry called Dothead just published.
Cleveland School of the Arts student De’John Hardges (above, third from left) was one of five teen poets picked for the 2015 National Student Poets program. The selected poets were honored at the White House by First Lady Michelle Obama and will spend the next year as “literary ambassadors,” sharing their work to inspire other young people’s creativity.
The evening is free and open to all.
