Reflecting

To get the overall picture, it helps to step back, dig in and learn the real story. We suggesting you check your voter registration not because we’re virtue signaling, but because your freedoms are actually on the line at the next election.

Looking at Liz Maugans and Rebecca Cross’s work is one thing, but hearing them talk about their show together at HEDGE is quite another. When Visible Voice Books Drops the Needle on Pere Ubu’s first album, it will be with Jim Ellis and his years of focus on the underground music that makes our region unique. After 15 years, it’s nice to see Sankofa bring back their Black Arts Festival, paired with the Urban Film Festival. Woofstock seems like a fun way to raise money, and it is, but the real work of saving dogs takes place at Rescue Village throughout the year. Clean Water Fest is a fun day out for the kids, but what they learn about fresh water could impact them for a lifetime. Reflecting on the big picture can be very satisfying. Glad we could help.
