On a warm sunny afternoon from May to September, head an hour west of Cleveland to the lakefront town of Vermilion to take an hour-long cruises down the Vermilion River on the Mystic Belle. Captain Don Parsons, an experienced mariner, will give you a narrated tour of the river’s marinas and boatyards, charter fishing boats and yachts, and spectacular riverfront homes. He’ll point out the area’s wildlife and fill you in on some of Vermilion’s history. The Mystic Belle is wheelchair accessible and Captain Don is Coast Guard licensed. Private group tours and sunset tours are also available. It’s $12 for adults, $10 for seniors and $6 for children.
