Art on Madison is a storefront gallery in Lakewood run by artist Ivan Kende. It focuses on presenting local and regional artists who aren’t that well known yet or haven’t had their breakout, giving them a chance to kick start their careers.
In addition to regular art shows, the gallery hosts community and performing events. It’s best known for its monthly Tuesday night Poetry + series where one writer — fiction, nonfiction, poetry — gets the floor for the full evening to share his or her work in depth. The gallery is open noon-6pm Wednesday through Saturday.
