A group of familiar faces will be on the bandstand at the Bainbridge Swing Dance this month, where a live band provides the music for each dance session. Blue Lunch has become well known in this area after forty-plus years of playing their horn-driven, harmony-laden mix of jazz, early rock, R&B swing, blues and more at a vast array of different types of venues across northeast Ohio.

Each Bainbridge Swing Dance starts with an hour-long lesson at 7pm for newbies to learn the basics and more experienced dancers to brush up their steps. And the veterans are always glad to help the newcomers. From 8-10:30pm, the band takes the stage and the dancers take the floor. Once the band’s done, there’s a wind-down half hour of electro swing (recorded music), song requests and line dancing.

Come with your partner, bring your family or come alone. The dances welcome all ages, and since dancers change partners all night you never have to worry about being a singleton.

The dance takes place at the Family Life Center in Chagrin Falls. Admission is $20 per person, $10 per child, $50 per family by cash or check. For more information go HERE.
