Ambitious David Dorfman Dance Performs for DANCECleveland

Sat 11/14-Wed 11/18

According to its website, the New York-based David Dorfman Dance, founded in 1985 by dancer/ choreographer Dorfman, “has created movement that seeks to de-stigmatize the notion of accessibility and interaction in post-modern dance by embracing audiences with visceral, meaningful dance, music, and text,” with a vision that is “innovative, inclusive,” and “radically humanistic.” In its work, movement meets big ideas in a major way.

The group will be performing as part of DANCECleveland’s fall virtual series, offering its 2017 work “Aroundtown,” which looks at the meaning and purpose of love, both intimate and personal, and on a sociopolitical scale, in movement, musical, text and visuals.

If you purchase the Gold Access Pass, you can stream the performance from November 14-18 and also link to a taped pre-show talk with Dorfman.  A Bronze Pass gives you access from November 14-15. Go here to purchase a pass. Go here to learn more about the company.
