Cleveland Burlesque put on another sizzling show at the Beachland Ballroom, with an outstanding all-local cast performing to a nearly sold-out house. There was one big change: comedian Khadijah Wingo mc’ed, replacing long-time (now retired from mc’ing) host Ken Schneck. She was a more than capable host, entertaining and quickly getting into the spirit of things.
Cleveland Burlesque founder, Cleveland Burlesque Queen Bella Sin, performed twice, showed off her glamorous attire and sensuous moves. Cleveland Burlesque favorites — the striking Holly Grail, sultry Ruby Rabbit, ’60s songstresss Monica Mod, lush & lovely Lola Lovelace, sequin-sporting Jared Jamison and the always-creative Heather & Lace — were joined by beautiful newcomer Lottie Little and sassy drag artist Samantha Echo. A surprise treat was a funny duo number by “Lovelace” — Lola Loveletter and Heather & Lace — performing as chocolate and vanilla Oreos to the tune of the Michael Jackson/Paul McCartney song “Ebony & Ivory.”
