While some areas of Cleveland are packed with high-quality coffeeshops, there’s been a dearth of them on Put-in-Bay where party bars prevail. That gap was filled in 2024 by Café Sous le Chevre, a French-inspired shop located in the former Chocolate Shop, under Goat Soup and Whiskey — hence the name (“Chevre” is French for “goat.” There you can grab a latte and a cup of tea, along with a fresh pastry such as a croissant or bagels, savory snack or some ice cream or frozen yogurt and chill for a little while. Open daily during the summer from 8am-9pm, it’s a perfect place to relax and chill before starting your day or when taking a break.
