After Sunday services, Trinity Cathedral downtown pulled up a food truck and filled its garden with tables from local voting advocacy groups for an event called Joy of Voting 250. It featured tables from groups who work on engaging voters and turning out the vote, such as the League of Women Voters, Project HALO, Red Wine and Blue, Northeast Ohio Voter Advocates, and Greater Cleveland Congregations to share ways people can become involved in contacting voters and getting them to the polls. Between DJ music, speakers from these groups took the mic and shared what their organizations do. In addition, former Ohio Supreme Court justices Maureen O’Connor (R) and Michael Donnelly (D) talked about how to make elections fairer and more accessible to the electorate.
