Take a drive out to Holden Arboretum in Kirtland for its seasonal first Friday garden tour, where you can tour an area of the expansive property with a naturalist who’ll share background information on that area. To kick off the fall, horticulturist/cat lover Mary Lineberger will take visitors to the Rhododendron Discovery Garden & Tree Allee. Learn more about rhododendrons, their background, their growing habits and how you can grow them successfully at home as well as how and why a tree allee is created. The walk is about a mile and a half, with some pavement and some natural surfaces and hills.
