Western Reserve Herb Society Shares Knowledge at Cleveland Botanical Garden

Tue 8/25 @ 11-11:30AM

If you’ve never walked through the Cleveland Botanical Garden’s Herb Garden, you don’t know what you’re missing. Maintained by the Western Reserve Herb Society since 1969 — back when it was just the Garden Center and had newly moved to its current location. Now the herb garden extends over multiple paths and sections where herbs and aromatic plants and flower are arranged in attractive clusters by the group which comes weekly to work on the garden. The scents are heady!

During the summer, once a month on its Tuesday workday, it offers a 30-minute talk called “Essential Herb Harden Experiences,” on what’s growing in the garden and how it can be used. This week on August 25, the talk will address sweet herbs, such as stevia, mint, anise hyssop and sweet basil.

The talk — and herb garden —are included with regular admission to CBG and no registration is required.
